Latha Rao – presently director of training of IMTC(Indian Montessori Training Courses) Koramangala under the auspices of the Indian Montessori Centre. Her passion lies in creating learning environments for children that help them learn with joy.
After her Primary Course from Association Montessori Internationale and Elementary Course from Indian Montessori Centre, she worked in the USA in a Montessori School under the teachers exchange programme.
She has worked with children for the last 30years, including at the Valley School – of the KFI institutions.
A science graduate from the University of Madras and Masters in Inclusive Education from the University of Northampton, UK, she is always looking for opportunities to work with children and help people set up Montessori and alternative environments. She has trained under Smt. Meenakshi Sivaramakrishnan for 7 years (from 2008 to 2014).
Currently, she is independently training adults in the Montessori Method for the past 8 years and has also assisted in setting up IMTC training centres at Hosur and Mangaluru.
Interactions with parent and teacher communities are engaging and she likes to share her knowledge and help them create stimulating environments and devise strategies that nurture learning, exploration and creativity.
