ANANTHA PADMANABHA
With a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Business Management,
Mr. Anantha Padmanabha entered the Montessori family when he was
impressed by Ms. Radha Nagaraj who was an inspiration. He completed
the IMTC course under Smt. Meenakshi Sivaramakrishnan in 2001.
His ambition of starting a House of children to follow the philosophy and principles became a reality with the beginning of ‘Prerana Montessori House of
children.
A new beginning of achievement in his life was his becoming a Director
of IMTC- south, Bangalore. Several students were trained under his
guidance towards the growth of the Montessori Movement further.
He became a secretary of IMC and this journey took to a different level
and became a part of ‘Montessori Allied Services’ to bring out
publications.
While working with other organizations like Hindu Seva Prathishtaana,
his heart was towards working towards children providing Montessori
education to the economically backward parents and ‘Madhurya
Montessori’ took its birth and is functioning very well even today.
Anantha Padmanabha played a major role in organizing several
Seminars, Conferences, In house training programmes, Montessori
Assistants training, Second Saturday meetings for working
Montessorians etc.
His achievement touched the horizon with a feather in his cap when he donned the new role as ‘Vice- President International Affairs’ with his becoming a
Director of Montessori courses in Vietnam. Under his Directorship and
guidance, hundreds of students have been trained in Montessori philosophy
and have made a beginning for several Houses of children to flourish. Today
Ananth’s name is revered for his contribution in propagating the Montessori
Movement not only in India but also outside the country.
