Montessori Allied Services - A Brief Intro

Apart from popularizing the Montessori-method of teaching, the Indian Montessori Centre also aims at ensuring that the Montessorian principles are understood and implemented in the right spirit. To facilitate this in a focussed manner the Montessori Allied Services has been set up under the auspices of the Indian Montessori Centre. Some of the activities of the Montessori Allied Services are as follows.

  • Montessori Allied Services provides consultancy services to establish Montessori Houses of Children, or to improve the functioning of existing Montessori Houses of Children.
  • Montessori Allied Services publishes books and other reading material on topics related to Montessori education.
  • Montessori Allied Services is in the process of producing films, videos, DVDs/CDs on Montessori education.
  • To widen the reach of the Montessori methods of education, the Montessori Allied Services will create and manage websites related to Montessori education.
  • Montessori Allied Services will organise short-term and long-term courses on Montessori Methods of education.
  • Montessori Allied Services also conducts online courses on Montessori methods of education to make it more easily accessible to individuals who cannot take up regular classroom courses.
  • Workshops on Montessori Education will be conducted by the Montessori Allied Services on a regular basis.
  • Refresher Courses for working Montessorians will be organised by the Montessori Allied Services on a regular basis.
  • Montessori Allied Services will organise placement services for persons trained in the Montessori method.
