The Indian Montessori Centre awards diplomas to successful students of the Indian Montessori Training courses being conducted in English & Kannada. The Indian Montessori Training Course is recognized by the Department of Education, Government of Karnataka (vide No. ED 447-PGC 90 (3-12-91)).

The diploma qualifies the holder to apply the Montessori method to the education of children between two-and-a-half years and six years of age (pre-school) but not to children over six years. It does not qualify the holder to impart training in the Montessori method to adults in any form. It also entitles the holder to use the name Montessori in an institution for that group of children in his/her charge provided it is fully equipped, directed and organized, according to the requirements of the Montessori method as set forth during the course of training.

In India, thousands of individuals have been trained to be Montessorians since the first course conducted by Dr. Maria Montessori herself in 1939.

Award of Certificates.
The Indian Montessori Centre in its bid to reach out to more people launched an intensive Online Montessori Training Course. This course is basically aimed to cater to the needs of busy individuals, parents, etc.who cannot find the time to attend regular classes. Individuals can do this course from the comfort of their homes and at hours of their convenience.At the same time extreme care has been taken so as to not dilute the Montessori Philosophy. The course is rigorous and thorough in all theoretical aspects of the Montessori Method of Education.

The Indian Montessori Centre awards Certificates to students who have successfully completed the Online Montessori Training Course.
